Taxpayers have the opportunity to settle their outstanding tax issues out of court, potentially saving up to 75% on taxes and fines. The Committee for Out-of-Court Resolution of Tax Disputes is reopening, with a deadline for applications set for July 24, 2026.

According to a decision signed by Deputy Ministers Th. Petralias and G. Kotsiras, the Committee will resume operations on February 20 and will accept applications from taxpayers who have been audited and dispute the imposed taxes and fines.

Applications can be submitted electronically until July 24, 2026, by those with pending tax cases before the Council of State and Administrative Courts, provided the cases have not been discussed by July 23, 2026.

The Committee will review applications until December 31, 2026, and issue decisions by March 31, 2027. If the case is accepted, the court proceedings are suspended.

For a final settlement, the taxpayer must pay at least 30% of the principal tax or 25% of the independent fine within ten working days of signing the settlement.

The payment of the principal tax, after deducting 30%, can be made in 1 to 24 installments. Additional taxes, interest, surcharges, and fines are paid with a discount that scales according to the number of installments, reaching up to 75% for a lump-sum payment.
