Easter Bonus 2026: Unemployment Payments and Amounts

The Hellenic Public Employment Service (DYPA) is expected to pay the Easter Bonus to unemployed beneficiaries before Holy Thursday, April 9, 2026.

Eligible are those receiving the regular unemployment benefit of 540 euros and those included in the tiered benefit up to 1,295 euros. They will receive an amount equal to half the monthly benefit.

Minimum Wage Increase: If the increase is between 3.5% and 8%, the Easter Bonus will be approximately between 279 and 292 euros, up from 270 euros.

A full Bonus is received by those who have been continuously subsidized from January 1 to April 30 (12.5 daily allowances). For shorter periods, the amount is paid proportionally (3 daily allowances/month).

The Bonus amount will be calculated based on the fixed part of the new benefit, which is a percentage of the minimum daily wage (70% in the first quarter, 60% in the second, 50% in the third, 40% in the fourth).

Payment will be made via prepaid card, allowing withdrawal of up to 50% in cash and use of the remainder for purchases.

The Ministry of Labor is expected to issue an official announcement with the exact payment date in early April.
