Airfare Prices Increase Due to Geopolitical Tensions

Airfare prices are increasing due to the situation in the Middle East, according to statements made by the President of Travel Agents, Haris Papacharalambous, on SIGMA's show "Protoselido."

Mr. Papacharalambous stated that this increase is not expected to significantly affect tourist flows to Cyprus or Cypriots' travel abroad. He emphasized that the price differentiation applies to all tourists, regardless of destination.

Furthermore, he noted that Cyprus' connectivity has increased significantly in recent years, leading to new records in inbound and outbound tourism. He reiterated that the price increase may be temporary.

Regarding the best time to book summer vacations, Mr. Papacharalambous advised that "the sooner, the better."

Finally, he stressed the importance of managing Cyprus' image abroad in order to avoid negative impacts on tourism.
