British Cypriots Concerned About Travel Advice to Cyprus

The Board of British Cypriots has expressed strong concern about the UK's travel advice to Cyprus, in a letter to Foreign Office Minister Stephen Doughty.
The letter states that the strict guidelines, due to the conflict in the Middle East, have caused flight and holiday cancellations, affecting tourism. As Easter approaches, Cyprus expects millions of visitors.
The Council highlights Cyprus' role in regional stability and humanitarian aid, as well as its Presidency of the EU Council.
They are requesting a review of the guidelines to be more balanced, as the current wording may damage Cyprus' image. They point out that the risk of terrorism is global.
The British Cypriot Council promotes Cypriot interests and has sent letters to officials such as Sir Keir Starmer and António Guterres.
The letter is signed by Doros Partasides, Marie Nicholsby, Antonis Savvidis, Spyros Neophytou, Spyros Papacharalambous, Dr. Elias Dinenis, Pantelis Demosthenous, John Stergides.
