EAC Board Responds to Unions: Procedures are Complex

The EAC's board of directors responded to the unions regarding delays in electricity supply and the upgrade of the Dekeleia power station. In its response, the board acknowledges the concerns of the workers but emphasizes that the procedures are complex and multi-layered, often dependent on regulatory and European parameters.

It also mentions that the upgrade of the Dekeleia station remains a high priority and that technical and administrative steps are underway. In addition, the EAC is working to strengthen production capacity and transmission and distribution networks, as well as to find suitable land for photovoltaic parks.

The board confirms its firm intention for continuous dialogue with all stakeholders, in a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.
