AAΔΕ Gains Access to OPEKEPE for Agricultural Subsidy Control

The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AAΔΕ) gains full access to the Organization of Payments and Control of Community Aid Guidance and Guarantees (OPEKEPE) to monitor agricultural subsidies.

By order of the Governor of AAΔΕ, Giorgos Pitsilis, a special team is being created consisting of 17 general managers and directors of AAΔΕ. The aim is to identify illegal practices and ensure the correct distribution of European funds to beneficiaries.

AAΔΕ will have access to every building infrastructure, electronic application and information system of OPEKEPE, as well as all relevant documents and contracts. The team will prepare monthly progress reports to the Governor of AAΔΕ.

The new system aims to increase transparency and prevent fraud in the field of agricultural subsidies.
