AAΔΕ: Relief from Company Debts – Who and How

New decisions by the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AAΔΕ) offer possibilities for relief and reductions for citizens burdened with joint and several liability for company debts.

The regulations allow, under certain conditions, a reduction of up to 90% or full exemption from debt withholding. For full exemption, interested parties must submit an application, collect tenure documents, and document the shareholder relationship and the dates of debt origination.

Alternatively, for reduced withholding, the company must settle the debts and provide guarantees and collateral to the public sector.
