Tinos: Celebrations for the 203rd Anniversary of the Finding of the Virgin Mary Icon

Impressive events took place in Tinos to celebrate the 203rd anniversary of the finding of the miraculous Icon of the Virgin Mary. Hundreds of students participated in the traditional lantern procession, holding lanterns.

The students started from their schools and met with locals and visitors at the Holy Church of Evangelistria. The lantern procession passed through the narrow streets of the town and ended at the port, where fireworks lit up the night.
