Italian documentarian Andrea Rovetta, based in Rome and Athens, has created a series of documentaries showcasing the authentic Greece.

In "People of Sfakia," he captures Crete, while in "People of Messolonghi," he explores the memory and identity of the city. Other works include "People of Ikaria," "People of Nisyros," and "People of Tzoumerka," presenting different aspects of Greek life and landscapes.

Rovetta has also worked on international projects, such as "People of PaysandĂş" in Uruguay, and has collaborated with major television networks such as Rai and Amazon Prime.

His short films have been screened at numerous festivals, and in 2018 he directed the documentary for Palermo, the cultural capital of Europe, Palermo Renaissance (Artè-Rai). In 2024, his documentary "An Emperor’s Jewel" was screened worldwide on Amazon Prime.
