July 30: Name Day Celebrations

Today, July 30th, the Orthodox Church commemorates the Holy Apostles Silas, Silvanus, Epenetus, Crescens, and Andronicus, as well as Saint Julitta.
Saints Silas, Silvanus, Epenetus, Crescens, and Andronicus: These Apostles significantly contributed to the spread of Christianity. Saint Silas was a close associate of the Apostle Paul. Silvanus was an associate of Paul and Peter. Epenetus is mentioned in the Epistle to the Romans. Crescens was the bishop of Chalcedon. Andronicus was a leader of the Church in Pannonia.
Saint Julitta: She lived in the 3rd century in Caesarea and was martyred for her faith along with her child.
