Defense Minister Receives Report on Missing Explosives

Defense Minister Vasilis Palmas has received the investigation report regarding the disappearance of TNT explosives from the Kalo Chorio firing range.

The incident occurred on January 29, 2026, during a training exercise. An estimated 13.5 kilograms of explosives are missing.

The Ministry of Defense announced that the investigation identified specific omissions and responsibilities, which will be addressed according to the internal regulations of the National Guard.

An investigation by the Cyprus Police is also underway.
