Suspicions of Organized Arson Plot in Cyprus

Security services in Cyprus are on alert following information about an organized arson plot in the Troodos region. The recent fire, which caused the death of two people and destroyed 125 square kilometers, is believed to be the result of arson.
Suspicious movements were observed in the villages of Moniatis and Prodromos, and a person was chased but managed to escape. Police and fire services are patrolling the Troodos area. Small fires in the Paphos province are considered possible diversionary tactics.
Phenomena observed in the fire that started from the village of Malia are being investigated, where two outbreaks occurred simultaneously at a short distance. Also under investigation are social media posts criticizing the government, the EU, Greece, and Israel for their response to extinguishing the fire, as well as comments about not accepting help from the pseudo-state and Russia.
