CYP: Two Million Doses of Narcotics Seized

CYP has made a significant seizure of narcotics, preventing two million doses from reaching the market. In connection with the operation, two individuals, a 44-year-old and a 26-year-old, were arrested for drug trafficking.
During the search of the 44-year-old's residence, methamphetamine, MDMA pills, and cannabis were discovered. According to CYP data, drug seizures in 2025 have tripled compared to previous years.
Specifically, over 815 kilograms of cannabis, nearly 50 kilograms of cocaine, 1,269 ecstasy pills, and over six kilograms of methamphetamine were seized. Captagon pills were also among the seized items. CYP Commander Christos Andreou stated that the seized quantities correspond to approximately two million doses.
The narcotics are imported into Cyprus through airports, ports, and shipping containers.
