Chloraka: 4-Year-Old Boy Nearly Drowns in Hotel Pool

A serious incident occurred at a hotel pool in Chloraka, where a 4-year-old boy nearly drowned. According to the Police, the incident happened on Wednesday, August 20th, around 15:15.

The child was found at the bottom of the pool by a swimmer around 14:00. He was pulled out and transferred to the A&E of Paphos General Hospital. Due to the severity of the situation, the child was intubated and transferred to Makario Hospital in Nicosia.

According to his 51-year-old mother, the 4-year-old was in shallow water under her supervision but went unnoticed when she was taking care of her younger child. The police are also investigating whether the lifeguard saw the child in time.
