Tsiknopempti: Arrests for Drunk and Drugged Driving in Cyprus

During extensive police checks on Tsiknopempti, police made arrests for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

A total of 379 drivers and passengers were checked throughout Cyprus. 20 premises were also inspected.

Traffic controls resulted in 117 complaints for various violations. Specifically, 12 drivers were reported for driving under the influence of alcohol and 3 for driving under the influence of drugs. 2 vehicles were impounded.

Police operations continue with the aim of preventing and suppressing crime and increasing the sense of security of citizens.
