Limassol Accident: 78-Year-Old Woman Killed in Head-On Collision

A tragic road accident occurred in the Limassol province, resulting in the death of 78-year-old Chrysanthi Volou Constantinou. The accident happened on the Limassol-Omodos road, near the community of Kantou.

According to the Police, the 78-year-old, under investigation, entered the opposite lane and collided head-on with a car driven by a 30-year-old. A total of three vehicles were involved in the accident, while information about the involvement of a fourth vehicle is being investigated.

Chrysanthi Volou Constantinou was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. Two more people, a 69-year-old and a 64-year-old, were slightly injured and received first aid. A breathalyzer test was performed on the 30-year-old and the 69-year-old with zero indication.

The Head of the Limassol Traffic Police, Marios Charalambous, stated that the accident occurred at 18:30. The Limassol Traffic Police continues its investigations to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.

The unfortunate woman was returning from a relative's wedding in Souni where she resided.
