Tragedy in Kato Pyrgos: 85-Year-Old Dies in Car Accident

An 85-year-old man, Spyros Zambas, was found dead in Kato Pyrgos following a car accident. He had been reported missing by his relatives.

According to the police, the man left his residence around 7:00 AM on Tuesday. When there was no communication with him, he was reported missing at 4:45 PM.

Around 8:15 PM, he was found in a ravine along with his car, approximately 200 meters from a rural road. He was taken to the Kato Pyrgos Health Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances under which the vehicle fell into the ravine. The Morphou Traffic Department is investigating the case.
