Limassol: Russian businessman Vladislav Baumgertner found dead

The worst-case scenario has been confirmed for 56-year-old Russian businessman Vladislav Baumgertner, who was reported missing on January 10th. His body was found on Wednesday (January 14th) in the Avdimou β Paramali coastal area by a citizen.
The body was found in a state of bloating and is believed to have been washed ashore. According to initial indications, the man was not wearing clothes. Official identification is pending via DNA.
The head of Limassol TAE and members of ADE rushed to the scene, in cooperation with the Base Police, as the area falls under the jurisdiction of the British Bases. The legal autopsy will be carried out on Thursday (January 15th) by a BB Forensic Pathologist, in order to clarify the causes of death.
Authorities are examining all possibilities regarding the circumstances of death. According to a previous report by OmegaLive, investigations on the businessman's computer revealed specific internet searches.
The case had been reported to the Police by an employee of the 56-year-old, while his traces had been lost since January 7th. A testimony stated that the businessman was seen on January 8th, one day after the reported disappearance. The searches focused on the Pissouri area, where the signal from his mobile phone was last emitted.
