Fatal Accident in Limassol: 68-Year-Old Dead

A tragic traffic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in the Limassol district, on the Avdimou – Anogyra road. A 68-year-old man lost his life, while a 57-year-old villager was injured.
According to the Police, the accident happened when the small van driven by Nikos Paris, 68 years old, collided head-on with a car driven by a 57-year-old resident of Anogyra. Marios Charalambous, head of the Limassol Traffic Police, stated that the accident occurred at 18:30.
The 57-year-old was taken to Limassol General Hospital with serious internal injuries. The Fire Department had to intervene to extricate the 68-year-old.
Initial indications from the Traffic Police suggest that the 68-year-old was not wearing a seat belt. The Avdimou – Anogyra road remains closed to traffic.
