Fatal Accident in Limassol: 17-Year-Old Killed in Crash

A 17-year-old died in a fatal traffic accident that occurred last night in Limassol. The accident happened around 9:00 p.m. on Pireos Street, in a densely populated area.
According to the police, ALI TZALALOUTIN, a permanent resident of Cyprus from Syria, was riding a large-capacity motorcycle when he collided with a car at the intersection with Suliou Street. The 17-year-old allegedly failed to stop at the sign and was driving without a license or insurance, and it is estimated that he had developed excessive speed.
Marios Charalambous, head of the Limassol Traffic Police, stated that the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where his death was confirmed. The driver of the car, a 35-year-old foreigner, underwent an alcohol and drug test with negative results.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident and are looking for footage from closed circuit surveillance systems. In addition, the motorcycle driven by the 17-year-old had been reported stolen last month.
Residents of the area expressed concerns about the dangerous driving and high speeds developed by young people in the area.
