Fatal Workplace Accident in Kofinou: 55-Year-Old Dead

Multiple injuries to the body and vital organs, resulting from a workplace accident, were the cause of death of 55-year-old Finis Alexandru, who lost his life in Kofinou on Friday, January 30th. This was revealed by the autopsy conducted by forensic pathologist Angeliki Papetta.

The accident occurred in a rural area of Kofinou when, under investigation, a truck with a crane overturned during the unloading of cement counterweights. Alexandru, who was on the truck, fell to the ground and was fatally injured.

The 51-year-old crane operator was arrested, interrogated, and released. Investigations are continuing by the Kofinou Regional Police Station in cooperation with the Department of Labor Inspection.
