Nearly Half of Deaths in Occupied Territories Due to Heart Disease

Nearly half of the deaths in the occupied territories in 2024 are due to cardiovascular diseases, according to the "statistical institute." Out of 1,745 deaths, 891 (46.4%) are attributed to heart problems.

"Yeni Bakis" reports that in the period 2019-2024, 4,598 out of 9,767 deaths were caused by cardiovascular diseases. Cancer accounts for 12.9% of deaths, while there is a 10.6% increase in deaths from external causes, such as road accidents.
