Driver Arrested for Seriously Injuring 19-Year-Old in Larnaca

Police have arrested a 19-year-old driver who hit and seriously injured a 19-year-old in a parking lot in Larnaca. The incident occurred on August 18th, around 11:30 PM, in the Mackenzie area.

According to the Police, the driver faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm and negligent/reckless acts. It appears that the driver, while in a parking lot, hit his friend, who was a pedestrian. The injured person sustained serious head injuries and is hospitalized in critical condition at Nicosia General Hospital.

The driver underwent alcohol and drug tests, which were negative.
