Two Arrested for Assaulting Worker in Protaras

Police have arrested two individuals, aged 19 and 17, in connection with a case involving grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

The arrests were made around 11:45 AM on Sunday, based on court warrants. The suspects have been detained for investigation.

According to police, on the afternoon of August 21st, a 31-year-old man was attacked by a colleague while working at an establishment in the Protaras area. The assailant punched him in the face, possibly with a knuckle duster.

The 31-year-old suffered an orbital fracture and lacerations and received treatment at Famagusta General Hospital.

The case is being investigated by TAE Famagusta.
