40-Year-Old Arrested for Drugs at Cyprus Central Prison

A 40-year-old man was arrested at Cyprus Central Prison for attempting to smuggle drug-laced paper to a female inmate convicted of manslaughter.
The suspect was searched by prison officials following instructions from the Minister of Justice for strict controls. 14 grams of cannabis and 2 grams of cocaine were found in his car. Nothing was found at his residence.
The arrest was made by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit. The incident is part of the zero-tolerance policy implemented at the prison.
