37-Year-Old Arrested for Attacking Mobile Camera Van Driver in Limassol

A 37-year-old man has been arrested for attacking a 36-year-old driver of a mobile speed camera van. The arrest was made as part of an investigation into the assault and malicious damage.

According to the Police, the 37-year-old was arrested by members of the Limassol Rapid Response Unit (OPE) under a court warrant. He has been detained for police investigations.

The incident occurred on the Paphos-Limassol highway, in a parking area near the Kouklia exit. Three individuals approached the van, and one allegedly sprayed a substance in the driver's face, while the other two damaged the vehicle.

The 36-year-old driver reported the incident to the Police. The Paphos CID is conducting an investigation.
