26-Year-Old Arrested with Large Quantity of Tobacco at Larnaca Airport

A 26-year-old was arrested at Larnaca Airport with a large quantity of tobacco products. The man, of Polish nationality, was traveling to London.

According to the Department of Customs, officers found 166 cartons of cigarettes (200 cigarettes each) and 4 kilograms and 250 grams of rolling tobacco in his luggage. The products did not bear the required markings in Greek and Turkish.

The 26-year-old was arrested and will be brought before the Larnaca District Court tomorrow, Sunday. Earlier, a 37-year-old woman was also arrested for a similar offense.
