17-Year-Old Arrested for Knife Possession in Larnaca

A 17-year-old was arrested in Larnaca for possession of a knife, as part of police checks in the city.

According to the police, around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, members of the Larnaca Rapid Response Unit (OPE) located the 17-year-old in the city center and subjected him to a search. During the search, an 8-centimeter folding knife was found in his possession.

The 17-year-old was arrested and taken to the Larnaca Central Police Station. He is expected to be charged in writing and released.

Police investigations are continuing.
