7-Year-Old Girl in ICU After Limassol Car Crash

A 7-year-old girl is in the Intensive Care Unit after a car accident that occurred on New Year's Day in Limassol.

According to the Police, a 41-year-old driver, while driving on Hellados Street, reportedly lost control of his vehicle due to dizziness. The car collided with a parked vehicle and then a wall.

The driver's two children, aged 13 and 7, were in the car. The 13-year-old sustained minor injuries, while the 7-year-old girl was seriously injured. She was found to have a fracture of her left wrist and a mesenteric rupture with internal bleeding, requiring her transfer to the Makario Hospital.

The driver was slightly injured and preventively transferred to Limassol General Hospital. Limassol Traffic Police are investigating the causes of the accident.
