Serious Injury of a 26-Year-Old in Famagusta District Car Accident

A 26-year-old is hospitalized in serious condition at Nicosia General Hospital following a car accident that occurred early this morning in the Famagusta district.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Foti Pitta Street in Frenaros. The 26-year-old, a resident of Larnaca, while driving from Liopetri towards Frenaros, lost control of his vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and overturn in an adjacent field.

The young man was trapped in his vehicle and required the intervention of the Fire Service. It was found that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

He was initially transported to Famagusta General Hospital with multiple fractures and pulmonary contusions and then transferred to Nicosia General Hospital. His condition is considered serious. Famagusta Traffic Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
