Extensive Police Checks in Cyprus: Arrests and Vehicle Confiscations

Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the country, aiming to prevent criminal activities and ensure public order.

During the operations, seven people were arrested for various offenses, including driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.

A total of 666 vehicles were stopped and 744 people were checked. 57 premises were also inspected, resulting in six complaints.

During traffic controls, 233 complaints were filed for traffic violations, with 26 related to driving under the influence of alcohol. 512 alcohol tests were conducted, and 14 vehicles were confiscated.

Police operations continue daily to prevent and suppress crime.
