Sweeping Checks and Arrests for Threat and Assault Across Cyprus

Cyprus Police conducted sweeping checks across Cyprus, resulting in the arrest of three individuals for various offenses, including threat, assault, and illegal stay.

During the operations, 473 driver and vehicle checks were carried out, as well as 23 premises checks. Traffic controls led to 143 complaints, with 33 of them related to speeding. Additionally, 3 traffic cases and 3 complaints for driving under the influence of alcohol were recorded, while 5 vehicles were impounded.

Police operations continue with the aim of preventing and suppressing crime, as well as increasing the public's sense of security.
