Rhodes: Luna Park Closed After Accident

A luna park in Rhodes has been suspended after an accident occurred on a 'tray' type ride. Four young people were thrown off when the protective railing broke.

The municipality of Rhodes has suspended the operation of the luna park until the facilities are re-inspected and new certificates are submitted. The owner and manager of the luna park have been arrested and charged with bodily harm due to negligence.

One of the injured has bruises, but no one is facing more serious problems. The father of one of the youths told ERT that the children were very lucky.
