Shooting in Hunting Area: 44-Year-Old Worker Injured

A 44-year-old man was injured in a shooting while working in a hunting area. The incident occurred shortly before 5:00 PM on Sunday.

According to his report, the 44-year-old was injured in the leg by a gunshot fired from a distance of approximately 30 meters with a hunting rifle.

The injured man was taken to Nicosia General Hospital for treatment. The hunter involved in the incident presented himself to the Pera Chorio Nisou Police Station.

Initial investigations indicate that the incident occurred in an area open for hunting. Police are continuing their investigations.
