A 17-year-old in Ptolemaida is undergoing surgery after being injured by a firecracker explosion. The incident occurred in a park in the city, resulting in injuries to three fingers on his right hand.

Doctors at Bodossakeio Hospital of Ptolemaida are attempting osteosynthesis on the thumb, which sustained the most severe damage. The index and middle fingers were also injured, but their condition is stable.

The minor's parents were arrested and face charges of neglecting the supervision of a minor.
