Ptolemaida: Minors Arrested for Extortion and Drug Trafficking

In Ptolemaida, minors were arrested for extortion and drug trafficking, and their three parents were also arrested for neglect of supervision.

According to police, following a complaint by a 19-year-old, the two minors extorted 230 euros, a jacket, and a mobile phone from him, threatening him from December 14, 2025, to January 21, 2026.

During the investigation, it was found that the minors had procured 300 grams of raw cannabis from a 20-year-old for 1,500 euros, with the intention of trafficking it. The searches uncovered 313.4 grams of raw cannabis, a makeshift cannabis cigarette, the stolen jacket and mobile phone, a club, and 220 euros.

A case file was formed against them for extortion, drug trafficking, and violation of weapons legislation. The preliminary investigation was conducted by the Department of Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Eordaia.
