Prodromos: 37-year-old arrested with flare, firecrackers, and bat

A 37-year-old was arrested in Prodromos after being found in possession of a hand flare, 22 firecrackers, a retractable bat, a knife, a slingshot, and iron pellets. The arrest was made as part of policing efforts to prevent fires in forest areas.

According to the Police, the 37-year-old was stopped near the Prodromos roundabout. During a search of the vehicle, the aforementioned items were found.

The arrested individual is expected to appear before a court for the issuance of a detention order. The Morfou Crime Investigation Department is conducting investigations.
