POGO Supports Patient Who Was Indecently Assaulted by Doctor

The women's movement POGO has expressed its support for the patient who was indecently assaulted by a gastroenterologist, whose license to practice medicine was suspended by the Disciplinary Board of the PIS. POGO noted that the case highlighted the vulnerability of women and the need to protect their dignity.

In its announcement, the movement welcomed the decision of the Disciplinary Board, stressing that it sends a clear message that such acts are not tolerated. It also praised the courage of the woman who reported the assault.

POGO stressed that this decision should serve as an example and that the state must ensure that there is no impunity for such crimes.
