Five Arrests for Drug Possession and Illegal Stay in Cyprus

Police arrested five people on Saturday night for various offenses, including illegal possession of drugs and illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus.

The arrests were made during organized patrols in urban areas, aimed at preventing criminal activities and ensuring public order.

During the operations, 542 vehicles were stopped for inspection and 213 people were checked. 32 premises were also inspected, resulting in 4 complaints.

In addition, during traffic controls, 132 complaints were filed for traffic violations, with 46 of them concerning speeding. 398 breathalyzer tests were conducted, with 16 drivers testing positive for driving under the influence of alcohol. 7 vehicles were also impounded.

Police operations continue daily to prevent and suppress crime.
