Larnaca Torture Case: Suspects' Detention Extended

The Larnaca District Court has extended the detention of a 48-year-old and a 27-year-old, who are facing 14 charges related to a torture case, for another 5 days. The decision was made under strict security measures.

The two men were arrested on February 6 by the Larnaca TAE. The offenses allegedly took place in July 2025 in Larnaca.

According to the police, a search was conducted at a premises related to the 48-year-old, where evidence was seized. Statements have been taken from victims and witnesses, and investigations are ongoing to identify other involved parties, weapons, and vehicles.

Among other charges, the suspects face charges of conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal possession of a firearm, kidnapping, causing grievous bodily harm, and knife-carrying.

The police are expected to take additional statements, conduct identification parades, and examine videos and other evidence. Authorities are also looking for a person for whom an arrest warrant has been issued.
