Over 490 Drivers Reported by Police – 33 for Drunk Driving

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive patrols nationwide, aiming to prevent criminal activities and enhance public order.

During the operations, 916 vehicles and 1,231 individuals were checked. 38 premises checks were also carried out, resulting in 9 complaints.

In total, 492 reports were made for traffic violations, with 33 of them concerning drivers under the influence of alcohol. 341 alcohol tests were conducted, and 10 vehicles were detained.

Police operations will continue to ensure the safety of citizens and maintain public order.
