23 Cypriot Second Lieutenants of Class 2025 Sworn In

The graduation and swearing-in ceremony of the new Second Lieutenants of the Class of 2025 "Lieutenant General Stylianos Kalmpourtzis" took place at the Hellenic Military Academy. Twenty-three new Cypriot Second Lieutenants will reinforce the National Guard.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Tasoulas, who presented the swords to those sworn in. The Republic of Cyprus was represented by the Minister of Defence, Vasilis Palmas, accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Georgios Tsitsikostas.
A total of 226 Second Lieutenants were sworn in, including 195 from Greece and representatives from Albania, Armenia, Montenegro, Moldova and Tunisia.
Class 2025 is named after Lieutenant General Stylianos Kalmpourtzis, who fell in battle on July 23, 1974.
