Larnaca Stabbing: Arrest for Attack Over €150 Debt

Police in Larnaca are investigating the injury of a 25-year-old European citizen. A 29-year-old African man has been arrested as a suspect.

According to the police, on Sunday evening, an injured man was found with a back wound. During the investigation, the 29-year-old was located, who allegedly argued with the victim and attacked him with a knife.

The two men knew each other and reportedly had a financial dispute of €150, which was the motive for the attack. The suspect was arrested and detained. The Larnaca District Court issued an eight-day detention order against him.

Offenses of causing grievous bodily harm, injury, and possession of a knife are being investigated. The 25-year-old is being treated at Larnaca General Hospital, in serious but non-life-threatening condition.
