Coast Guard: Drug Busts in Attica and Piraeus

The Security Office of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus conducted successive operations against drug trafficking in Attica and the port of Piraeus, leading to arrests and seizures.
According to the Coast Guard, officers from the Security Office and P.O.D.I.N. arrested two Greek nationals, aged 41 and 60, in Kolonos, Attica. During searches of their homes, over 1.6 kg of raw cannabis, 11.1 grams of suspected cocaine, €1,590, mobile phones, precision scales, and packaging materials were seized.
In another operation in Athens on December 18, 2025, a Greek national and a foreigner were arrested for possession and trafficking of heroin, with a total seizure of 7.3 grams of heroin.
Additionally, on December 19, 2025, at the port of Piraeus, two Greek nationals were found with 12.5 grams of cannabis on a passenger-vehicle ferry.
The Central Port Authority of Piraeus is conducting the preliminary investigation.
