Nicosia: Arrests for Affray, Drunkenness, and Drugs

Police arrested six people during targeted operations in Nicosia.

Two men, aged 24 and 28, were arrested for affray, assaulting a police officer, drunkenness, causing disturbance, and public insult. They were arrested around 1:30 AM after being found participating in an affray.

A 38-year-old man was also arrested for drunkenness, disturbance, and public insult. In addition, two people were arrested for illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus and one for illegal possession of drugs.

During the operations, 35 premises were inspected and over 130 traffic violations were recorded. Eleven drivers were found to be driving under the influence of alcohol, and ten cars were impounded.
