Nicosia: 34-Year-Old Arrested for Illegal Stay and Drug Possession

A 34-year-old man was arrested in Nicosia for illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus and possession of narcotics. The arrest occurred during a search of an apartment, where approximately 80 grams of crystalline substance were found.

According to the Police, the search was conducted as part of an assessment of information regarding a drug case. In addition to the crystalline substance, precision scales and nylon bags were also found.

A second person was found in the apartment and was also arrested for illegal stay. The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Unit (YKAN) of Nicosia.
