Nicosia: 32-year-old Patient Assaults Police Officer at Emergency Room

A 32-year-old foreign national caused a disturbance at the Emergency Department (TAEP) of Nicosia General Hospital when he assaulted a female police officer.
According to the police, the incident occurred on the afternoon of Friday, August 22. The 32-year-old, while injured and on a stretcher, became violent and kicked the officer in the face, injuring her eye.
Police had to use spray to immobilize him. The next day, a three-day detention order was issued against him, and the case has been forwarded to the justice system.
