Two suspects have been detained for 8 days in connection with a case of attempted property damage in Limassol. The 44-year-old and 36-year-old were brought before the Limassol District Court, where the Police's request for their detention was approved.

The first case involves the arrest of a man allegedly preparing to place an explosive device at a brewery in Zakaki, which had been targeted in the past. In May, damage was caused to the brewery's entrance following an explosion.

The brewery owner, along with others, apprehended a 44-year-old who was in possession of flammable material and an explosive device. The 44-year-old initially escaped but was found hiding and arrested. He sustained injuries and was taken to Limassol General Hospital.

The second case was reported to the Limassol CID by a cafe owner. An unknown person placed an explosive device and a container of flammable material outside his cafe. Testimony led to the re-arrest of the 44-year-old, as well as the arrest of a 36-year-old Greek Cypriot.
