Limassol Fire: Reports on Deadly Blaze to be Submitted to President

The four reports regarding the events of the deadly fire in mountainous Limassol are being submitted to the President of the Republic today. The reports were prepared by the Fire Service, the Police, the Department of Forests, and Civil Defense.
The responsible ministers, Marios Hartsiotis, Konstantinos Ioannou, and Maria Panagiotou, are expected to deliver the reports to President Christodoulides at the Presidential Palace. The reports describe the events and record observed failures and weaknesses.
According to reports, the reports record gaps in coordination and recommend the creation of a supervisory and coordinating body for emergency situations. The President will study the reports and decide on the next steps, including the possibility of appointing a Commission of Inquiry. He has pledged to make the reports public.
