Limassol: 79-Year-Old Detained in Tenant Attack Case

A 79-year-old homeowner in Limassol has been detained for six days as a suspect in the attack on his 57-year-old tenant. The incident occurred on Monday night.

According to evidence presented in court, the 57-year-old, upon returning home with his partner, found the gate chained. An unknown man allegedly injured him with a knife in the face and punched him, threatening to kill him.

The victim's partner testified that the homeowner, the 79-year-old, had disputes with the couple and had asked them to leave the house. He had also cut off the water and electricity supply.

The arrested man denies any involvement, but the Limassol District Court ordered his detention for six days. He is being investigated for conspiracy, assault, causing grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife, threats, and illegal entry.
